It’s always Christmas with this delicious and spicy cookie.
Ingredients
- 120g butter
- 120g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 180g flour
- 120g cornflour
- 1 dessertspoon cocoa
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 small teaspoon baking soda
Step by Step Instructions
Preparation: Pre-heat the oven to 180°C
Cream butter and sugar until pale and creamy, add egg and beat well.
Mix in golden syrup and then sifted dry ingredients.
Press into a slice pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
For biscuits roll dough and cut into rounds and bake for 15 minutes.
To serve: Leave biscuits to cool and then join with raspberry jam and ice with pink icing, or dust with castor sugar.
