Buttermilk Chocolate Brownies

Everyone loves a classic chocolate brownie, and this one’s no different. It’s super easy to make and takes only about 25 minutes to bake in a 180-degree oven.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 125 g butter
- ¼ cup oil
- ¼ cup cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp bi-carb
- ½ cup buttermilk
Icing
- 60g butter
- 2 Tbsp cocoa
- 2 Tbsp buttermilk
- 1 ½ cup icing sugar
- ¼ tsp vanilla
Step by Step Instructions
Sieve together in a large mixing bowl flour and sugar
Bring to the boil in a pot butter, cocoa, oil and water
Add butter mix to mixing bowl, add the rest of ingredients and hand mix
Pour into large baking tray.
Bake at 180°c for ± 20 – 25 minutes
For the icing: Wait for ± 15 minutes for cake to cool.
Bring butter, cocoa and buttermilk to the boil. Add icing sugar and vanilla.
Mix until smooth and pour over cake.
